Explore the culinary delights of Italy’s mecca of taste.

After a scenic drive from Florence (or other location) in private transport, enter gastronomic heaven.

Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) cheese, Parma Ham (Prosciutto di Parma), traditional Balsamic Vinegar from Modena and Reggio Emilia, Culatello Ham, Malvasia and Lambrusco wines are all produced in this stunning land. Each item presents a glorious world of history, ages-old secrets and traditions that have been carried forward to present day.

It is said that none of these items taste so good as when enjoyed in their home territory. Our clients will be able to put this to the taste test themselves, with samplings of each exquisite product available. Parma Ham comes exclusively from the Parma Valley. Balsamic Vinegar may only be created in Modena and Reggio Emilia. The Parmesan cheese is so valuable that it is literally used as a form of currency. As to the wines, they have been developed over the years to perfectly pair with the local gastronomy, which we highly suggest guests try throughout this exquisite foodies tour.

This day tour includes tastings at the Parmesan cheese facility and Prosciutto production factory.

There is free time in Parma, during which guests may continue on their culinary journey by learning more about the incredible Balsamic Vinegar.

There may even be time to enter the Parma Cathedral, the 12th century baptistery, and other historical sights of the historical city nestled amongst stunning vistas of medieval castles, picturesque squares, citrus-hued palazzi and quaint alleyways.

Guests may choose to have lunch in a local winery or at a restaurant within Parma.

The drive will also include seeing the Torrechiara Castle that dates back to the Middle Ages amongst other stunning scenery.Historically important sites in Parma include the Romanesque Cathedral and Baptistery and many churches. Palazzo dell Pilotta (1583) contains several museums, the Palatine Library, National Gallery, the Academy of Fine Arts and more. The Bishop’s Palace dates back to 1055. There are also Palazzo del Governatore and Palazzo del Comune representing the late Middle Ages and Renaissance periods respectively.
